Book early. The best ticketed events sell out months in advance. Set a reminder for when tickets go live — usually August or September.
Dress warmly. Early November in the UK is cold, especially standing still for an hour or more. Layers, hats, and gloves are non-negotiable.
Arrive early. For free events especially, the best viewing spots are claimed early. For a 7:30pm display, arriving by 5:30pm isn't unusual.
Check transport. Roads near major events are gridlocked for hours after. Where possible, use public transport or park well away and walk.
